Video Podcast....In Style!

All right, I admit, there hasn't been a podcast in a couple of months. That's not to say there won't be more, it just saying we haven't done for 2009 just yet.

I did want to pass along something cool that Microsoft did for us. I know, I said "cool" and "Microsoft" in the same sentence, and while Dany, Delwin, Randy, and Seba try not to pass out from shock, I'll clue the rest of you in.

If you've visited www.deeperfaith.org lately, you've probably noticed two new little icons on the right side:

podcast@deeperfaith.org - Deeper Podcast - Deeper Podcast

The iTunes icon is pretty obvious. If you have an iPod, iPhone, or just plain iTunes on your computer, you can subscribe to out podcast by clicking on the iTunes logo. Pretty straightforward.

However, right above that is a little Zune icon. The Zune is Microsoft's version of the iPod, for the majority of you who probably haven't heard of it before. And don't worry, this is not a blog comparing the iPod to the Zune (Google search it, you'll find PLENTY of those blogs).

Microsoft did do Apple one better for online access, though. They built a social community around music at Zune.net. Okay, fine, cool, whatever, but so what? Well, what they also decided to do is give all the podcasts in their Marketplace (the Zune iTunes store) a free little profile so people without a Zune could access the podcast or download individual episodes from anywhere, any browser, for any computer or MP3 player. And that "free" part was kind of cool, too.

So, if you want to leave a comment about a particular podcast, see what else is in the podcast stream, or just plain check out the Deeper Podcast for the first time, check out our Zune profile!

And yes, you can do it from a Mac, an iPhone, your PC at work, or whatever you run at home (I think you can even do it from an Xbox right to your TV). Enjoy!
