As we're all painfully aware, Haiti suffered a magnitude 7 earthquake (the same magnitude as the 1989 World Series quake that caused a great deal of devastation in San Francisco and Oakland). Many people want to help, but as former President George W. Bush stated a couple of days ago, the best way we can help right now is so send cash donations to the relief organizations who are in Haiti and distributing the needed supplies.
Here are some ways that you can help.

The Forest Lake Church has established a relief fund for Haiti relief efforts. Proceeds will go to the Inter-America division of the Adventist Development & Relief Agency (ADRA), who is operating the Church's relief efforts in Haiti. Donations to the fund can be made online:
(click on the "Add More Offerings" option and add "Haiti Relief" to the online tithe envelope).
Other organizations who are in Haiti right now helping to provide relief to the people are:
To help with relief efforts:
Text the word "ADRA" to 85944, reply "YES" and donate $10 to ADRA's Haiti Earthquake Response Fund.
Text "HAITI" to "90999" and $10 will be given automatically to the Red Cross, charged to your cell phone bill.
The U.S. State Department Operations Center has set up the following number for Americans seeking information about family members in Haiti: 1-888-407-4747 (due to heavy volume, some callers may receive a recording). Our embassy is still in the early stages of contacting American Citizens through our Warden Network. Communications are very difficult within Haiti at this time.
In addition to sending doctors and nurses to assist the relief efforts in Haiti, Florida Hospital is currently coordinating efforts with the U.S. State Department and ADRA to collect money and supplies. You can use your personal phone to donate $5 by texting “MISSION” to 90999
