Are you shy? Someone who is easily intimidated, mild, not generally assertive? You know, the type of person who would step of a sidewalk to let someone else pass, because you don’t want to inconvenience them. If something goes wrong around you, then it simply must have something to do with you.
The type of person who, when others are volunteering, hangs back and shrinks into a corner. You’re only assertive when backed into a corner, and then it usually comes out all wrong and you sound mean or angry (which, of course, makes it entirely your fault).
I have good news for you! When God’s kingdom enfolds your life, the whole earth—that is His—is suddenly open before you to use as you see fit. The Lord is your shepherd, and you’ll never want again!
God loves you, even if you think you’re too shy to be anything special.
