God Still Loves You When the Sky is Falling

It seems we have a lot to be upset about today. Think about it. There are people who worked and worked their whole lives, and now because of the "economic downturn" we're going through, have lost jobs, careers, life-savings, lost their company in a hostile takeover and with it their pension, the stock-market killed their 401(k) as they enter the sunset of their employable years.

But it's not just financial! When hard times like these hit, families often split apart. Infidelity, divorce, spousal abuse, child abuse, all are up. And the victims of all of that are every bit as paralyzed by the rejection and heart-rending grief that accompanies it that the depression they feel is like a deep, dark hole they can't get out of.

Maybe you're there too. Maybe you feel rejected, discouraged, let down by life. There are so many things going on right now to break the heart!

But Jesus promises that when you see the kingdom in Him and let Him into your life as an active participant, you will find comfort. The tears and aching deep inside that you feel will turn to peace and joy! And even though your life might feel like a complete disaster, you are better off than you were before. Your loving, caring God is right there with you! With God on your side, nothing is impossible!
